Resort Paraíso, The Spanish Shining meets Cape Fear, follows a couple grieving the death of their son and overcoming the difficulties of staying together after their loss. The heroine of the film Eva (Virginia DeMorata) is a cleaning maid in a luxurious hotel by the sea. Suddenly the hotel administration shuts down because of financial difficulties and leaves the couple with no income or home. Forced to make a decision, Eva brings her husband Pablo (Rafael Castillo-Romero) to live together in the furthest room from reception in the hopes that they won't be noticed, even though the hotel is abandoned.
Their presence is hidden for some time until the security officer Saul (Héctor Medina) finds them and tells them they can stay if they want. Little do they know that accepting Saul's kindness, they find out that he is a twisted and psychotic individual that threatens to end their life and marriage. In a cat and mouse game, the couple fight to survive for their only haven, whilst being terrorised by the security officer.
